Homeless Man Rudely Refuses to Appear in Good Samaritan's Snapchat Selfie

Brisbane City, QUEENSLAND—A homeless man from the streets of Brisbane has stirred controversy by rudely refusing to appear in a Good Samaritan's new Facebook profile photo.

Benjo Kawadji, 53, who has been homeless for over 20 years, was met with surprise when a stranger offered him spare change for the first time since 1999.

Darren 'Dazza' Hodgers, a first-year student at the University of Queensland, was just passing by when he saw an opportunity to score a new Facebook profile photo help someone in need.

While Mr Kawadji initially appreciated the kind gesture, the interaction went sour when Dazza pulled out his iPhone 6S to capture a photo of their meeting.

"Are you F***king serious? I gave him a whole F***king TWO DOLLARS, and he wouldn't take a selfie with me." Dazza complained to The Bokchoy. "I would'a gotten so much puss with that photo. F*** that guy, I hope he dies in the gutter."

It is believed that Dazza took to Facebook to vent his frustrations, calling out the homeless man and discouraging others from helping him.

"If I ever see that filthy hobo again, seriously gonna knock his teeth out. Ungrateful C*** who wouldn't take a selfie with me after I gave him all my spare change," Dazza wrote in a post that has gone viral, earning over 1,000 Likes from his friends, classmates, and family members.

7-year-old Chinese Artisan Watchmaker Posthumously Awarded "Employee Of The Year" by Daniel Wellington

BREAKING NEWS - Shanghai, China An 8-year-old Chinese artisan watchmaker has been posthumously awarded Employee of the Year by watch company Daniel Wellington, the youngest staff member to ever do so.

Siu Pang Yau, born in 2009, has been praised by the owners of the Daniel Wellington (DW) fashion watch brand for his work ethic and commitment to product quality.

Despite dying on the job from being overworked, Siu Pang was remembered and honoured in a statement from the watchmakers earlier this month.

The 8-year-old, who has been living and working in one of DW's factories since 2016, was headhunted from his primary school playground for his extensive work experience in sweatshop conditions.

Originally destined for a rough school life of chasing A-pluses and perfect report cards, DW offered Siu Pang a lucrative career in watchmaking.

Sources report the child assembled over 25,000 watches during his tenure at DW, which earned the corporation nearly US$5-million.

"I think [Siu Pang]'s accomplishments will definitely inspire the other children in our factories to learn the value of hard work," a spokesman for DW said.

Although he was fresh out of kindergarten, Siu Pang had an impressive reputation from age 4 - including holding the world record for the fastest assembly of an Apple iPhone 6 Plus, back when he allegedly interned for the California-based tech giant at their Beijing factory.

DW plans to commemorate Siu Pang's passing with a limited edition Daniel Wellington SP (Siu Pang) watch, for only US$400, a modest mark-up from the actual cost of parts ($5).

Sudden Gas Leak Forces Emergency Airport Evacuation, Actually Just Chinese Tourist's Durian

Sydney, AUSTRALIA - Sydney's International Airport had to be evacuated today due to a gas leak emergency. After an 8-hour delay of all flights and a complete shutdown of the airport, investigators found the source to be a Chinese tourist's durian. News.con.au's Garson Mun reports.

At approximately 9:40am today, Qantas staff at Sydney International Airport Terminal detected the smell of gas and alerted security to a potential gas leak.

Travellers throughout the terminal who also began to experience the foul stench were urged not to panic, but their fear of a possible terrorist threat proved too great.

People began screaming for help, shoving each other out of the way, and Facetiming loved ones to say their last words - a young man even stripped naked and began engaging in sex acts with a mannequin from the Duty-Free Shop because he reportedly "did not want to die a virgin".

"The Counter-Terrorist Unit made the call to close down all the check-in desks, customs, and locked down every departure gate," senior security manager Andrew McCloud told News.con.au. "There was no way we were going to take any risks."

Emergency response teams in hazmat suits and gas masks began sweeping the airport to locate the leak, and at 12:30pm confirmed its source.

Staff found a Chinese woman had smuggled durian from overseas, and it had begun to rot in her luggage as it circulated the baggage claim area, causing the smell to spread throughout the entire terminal.

"The airport security came and told her they needed to confiscate it, and she wasn't happy about it," said Jono Briggs, a Sydney local.

"She looked ready to fight them for the durian, like I'm pretty sure she knows Kung-Fu or somethin' ay."

Sydney Uni Student Caught Faking Asian Ethnicity to Earn Higher Grades, Stripped of Degree & Expelled

Kensington, NEW SOUTH WALES—A Sydney university student has been expelled after she was caught faking Asian ethnicity to improve her grades.

Campus police at the University of New South Wales (UNSW) detained 23-year-old Australian woman Michelle Lee, under allegations of pretending to be Asian in order to be awarded a higher score for her end-of-year final exams.

It is believed the 23-year-old took advantage of her culturally-ambiguous surname to trick the both fellow students and university staff into thinking she was Asian giving her straight-HDs and First Class Honours.

"She started listening to K-pop, wearing Supreme, and drinking Bubble Tea at every opportunity," one of Ms Lee's classmates revealed to News.con.au.

Statistics from the 2008 to 2018 indicate that students of Asian descent are consistently awarded the highest grades in universities all around Australia, with students of Chinese and Indian background claiming the top spots.

A spokesperson for the university said: "Unfortunately for this student, she has fallen to the common misconception that Asian International students get awarded the highest grades. In fact, it has nothing to do with racial background - it's just a coincidence that Chinese students can afford the most expensive tuition fees, and hence why they tend to graduate so consistently."

"The Rice is Better at Hungry Chan's" - New Fast Food Chain Sets To Take Over Australia

Burwood, NSW—A new Asian fast food chain is set to open on Australian soil in 2019, offering authentic Chinese cuisine at affordable prices.

"The rice is better at Hungry Chan's"—that's the slogan one would hear when walking into a brand new Hungry Chan's restaurant, the first of which will open in Sydney's Burwood.

The restaurant's founder, Tsek Chow-Fan, is confident his brand will bring healthy competition against the likes of Jackpot Dining, Noodle Box and Hanaichi.

"Aussie people want the proper Chinese food at wery [sic] cheap price," Mr Tsek said. "We cater especially for gwei-lo taste and budget. Sweet & sour pork, lemon chicken, fry [sic] rice—all 5-dorrar only."

Although the grand opening of the Burwood restaurant is still a few months away, Hungry Chan's is already in talks to set up shop in other Asian Sydney suburbs such as Chatswood, Rhodes, Strathfield, Hurstville, Kogarah, Auburn, Rhyde, Ashfield, Cabramatta, Haymarket, and Eastwood.

Already planning ahead, the fast food chain will also borrow the tried-and-proven business strategy from McDonald's Loose Change Menu by having its very own Hungry Chan's "Cash-Only Menu".

Editor's Note: News.con.au has received word from a spokesperson that Hungry Chan's "Cash-Only Menu" is not actually a side menu, but refers to the fast food chain's strict payment option policy.

After 48-Day Coma, Man Shocks Family & Hospital Staff With First Words: "I Want Bubble Tea."

Sunnybank, QUEENSLAND—A man has woken up from a 48-day coma and shocked his family and hospital staff by immediately asking for Bubble Tea.

Dong Lai-Cha, 43, fell into a coma back in October after being caught in a 6-car accident in the Market Square carpark in Brisbane Southside suburb Sunnybank.

Mr Dong, who is one of many Asians in Brisbane who drive without a valid license, was rushed to the emergency room at the nearby QE2 Hospital in Macgregor.

Following admission, he was assessed and treated for traumatic brain injury - but fell into coma after surgery.

With his observations stable, after a grueling 48 days, Mr Dong finally woke up and shocked everyone in the room with his first words: "I want Bubble Tea."

When his family and hospital staff just stared on in disbelief, the patient spoke again: "Matcha with pearls, no ice, half sugar."

Mr Dong has made a full recovery and will be returning to the roads soon, News.con.au warns.

Meet the 16-year-old who Dropped Out of High School to Sell Baby Formula - Now He's a Millionaire

Sunnybank, QUEENSLAND - Meet Lai Fan, the 16-year-old who dropped out of high school to sell baby formula. Now he makes $2 million AUD per month, News.con.au's Garson Mun reports.

Lai Fan was born in Brisbane to parents who migrated from Hong Kong, and grew up in the city's southside suburbs.

He may look young, but Lai is one of the co-founders of Australia's fastest-growing baby formula smuggling operations based in Sunnybank, Brisbane.

An only child, since he was 5-years-old, his father has always wished for him to become a lawyer, while his mother wanted him to be a doctor - something they would argue over many times during his childhood.

Though he tried to meet his parents' expectations, Lai's dream has always been to become a professional League of Legends player, a goal he has never revealed to his family for fear of being beaten.

"When I dropped out of school to sell baby formula, my parents did not take it well," the teenager revealed to News.con.au. "They disowned me and kicked me out of home, never wanting to see me ever again."

Homeless and with no savings to his name, Lai had to beg for money and sleep outside Sunnybank's famous Market Square plaza for nearly 2 weeks before he finally made a sale.

"A government official from China found my ad on WeChat, and got in touch with me wanting to partner up for bulk orders, and that's the day when my life began to turn around."

Within a month, Lai pulled in AU$2 million of profits and secured 3 more long-term contracts to buy Australian baby formula and resell it to Mainland China, which will make him a further AU$5 million over the Christmas period.

With his first paycheck, Lai shrewdly purchased a brand new 3-bedroom penthouse apartment in Brisbane's Kangaroo Point as a gift to his family using cash he earned from his job, and they are now back on speaking terms.

When asked where he sees himself in 5 years, Lai said: "I just want my parents to be proud of me. Can I make that happen in 5 years, who knows? Haha."
